The Fullerton Arboretum is occasionally in need of various physical items to help maintain its grounds, offices and plant collections. In kind donations of products are appreciated—when appropriate to our needs.

If you have any equipment, furniture, wagons, garden tools, wheel barrows, or other related items you believe might benefit the Arboretum, please contact our front desk at (714) 278-3407 and give them a complete list. They will forward the list to the appropriate person or department within the Arboretum for evaluation. You will be contacted after the evaluation and advised if we can use the items or not. If we can use the item(s), we will schedule a date and time for you to deliver them to the Arboretum.

Please do not bring anything to the Arboretum without prior verbal approval, as we may decide we cannot use the gift and want to save you the transportation time and costs.

Generally speaking, we do not accept plants unless they are very unusual or might be specimens we are looking to add to our collection. There is a high risk of fire ant transmission and other potential problems with “outside” plants; hence we must be very careful with these type of donations. If you have a unique or unusual plant specimen you believe the Arboretum could use, please contact our Living Collections Curator, Chris Barnhill, at (714) 278-2981 or email to cbarnhill@fullerton.edu.

We occasionally need specialty items for our Heritage House Museum and the Orange County Agricultural and Nikkei Heritage Museum. If you have any items you believe would be appropriate for either of these museums, please follow the same procedures outlined above.
