| Purpose: |
Conduct Arboretum tours for scheduled groups. Provide tours of the various plant collections. Provide educational discussions about basic horticultural principles, plant usage, adaptations and environmental effects relative to the various plant communities. |
| Time Commitment: |
Attend monthly meeting (3rd Tuesday @ 1:00 pm) Conduct a minimum of two 1-hour tours per month. |
| Skills Needed: |
General knowledge of various plant communities within the garden, basic horticultural principles, plant usage and plant adaptations that distinguish various plant groups. Enthusiastic, dependable and a good communicator! Ability to work with all groups (small children to seniors) |
| Training: |
6 two-hour training classes over a 6-week period. Accompany other guides on tours. |
| Requirements: |
Able to walk the Arboretum within 1 to 1-1/2 hours. |
